First of all, let us praise to the Almighty Allah SWT., because of His blessing we are able to attend this English speech contest. Secondly, may peace be upon the prophet Muhammad saw. Who has guide us from the darkness into the brightness.

In this good opportunity, I would like to say about “EDUCATION”

Ladies and gentlemen

Education is a proper for all of us such as physical education, spiritual, formal or non formal, at school or out of school. In this modern period we must study hard to dig knowledge, if we a little careless we would left by our friend to do that.

Brother and sister

By celebrate the national education, we hope that the government is more enthusiasm to improve and develop Indonesian to be beneficial for the nation, country, and religion. The increase of the schooling children very fast and the great of graduating in every education is not followed by the fast increase of means and infrastructures education that properly. It can be a big problem for the government to give “education and learn” to all people as the mandate in Undang - Undang dasar.

Brother and sister

This problem is crucial if we think of the different social – economical and culture in Indonesia. The education must focused to effort the improvement and increase the quality and ordering the opportunity to get good education. there are some alternative must to do:

1. Increasing the accommodate of SLP by built new school.

2. Increasing the accommodate of private school.

3. Improving the open school by correspondence media, modul, broadcast, news, etc.

4. Opening the skill course out of school as to conduct the society.

Brother and sister

Ki Hajar Dewantara is an Indonesian Education figure that initiate to establish Taman siswa. He is more famous by his philosophy “Ing ngarso sung tuladha, ing madya mangun karsa, tut wuri handayani”. According to Dewantara, every people have a right to organize themselves, so the education must educate the children to be human that free on his mind, idea and power.
